Who is Simone Vera Bath

This is why she developed a deep desire to repair this division created by history.
She is a jewelry designer and artisan.
Now she lives and works in Italy, in Rome, where her creations come to life.
The environment in which she grew up and her strong and determined spirit, have a profound impact on all her creations.
Her jewels emanate imperfection, transformation, contrast and playfulness.
All this, combined with precious and impactful materials, gives life to her unique jewels.

What Simone believes in
“When you observe something, what matters more than the object itself is how you look at it.”
Simone is inspired by symbols derived from her personal iconography:
Water and the sea, as elements at the origin of life, become a source of inspiration for rings, pendants, necklaces, and bracelets.
Mythology is a recurring theme in her design, in particular, the ancient Greek myths and the idea of the Amazon woman: strong, independent and with a close bond with nature. These are a great source of inspiration in Simone’s art.
Her personal approach to creativity is also linked to the positive spiritual forces that rule the universe.

Style
Inserts, engravings and other small decorations give to the jewels a medieval look but with a very contemporary touch.
The union, from Simone’s point of view, between archaic and modern.
In both men’s and women’s collections.
Simone’s design has a very particular point of view on the shape, such as for square and triangular rings, as well as for bracelets and necklaces.
The shiny surface of the stones is in contrast with the rough surface of the metal, worked with a special technique to deliberately create an effect of incompleteness in the final result.
Simone believes that it is imperfection that makes objects unique.
The same jewel reproduced several times will never be the same as the previous one.
In Simone’s conception, minimalism can transcend perfectly smooth surfaces and flawless finishes.
Simone also works the metal with lost wax castings that make it appear almost scarred, with points that reflect light unevenly and are evident to the touch.
The result is an object with a worn and angular, yet contemporary look.

Why Rings
Simone loves rings in a particular way.
They are the protagonists of her creations, in different aspects and with different types of designs.

Her attention is focused on the hands, and on what they can express with body language, even in an unconscious way.
Much more than just ornaments, rings often become part of the message communicated by the hands themselves.
They can be used to symbolize power or status, and also to communicate love or fear of the unknown, when worn as talismans.
